(Another Collaboration this time with the English Folk Duo "Sheedyfrost" I wrote the lyrics and played lead guitar and slide guitar, they sing it and play rhythm and percussion and keys and bass)

Pan fish leaping from the walleye
snakes and turtles in the sun
lying on the river driftwood
as the waters start to run
the sun is shining and it glistens
on the ever southward flow
of the Mighty Mississippi
and the Minnesota Snow

Paddlewheels up and rising northward
smells like carp rotting in the sun
Porcelin and tossed out tires
see the sluggish waters run

Sun is shining and it glistens
on the ever southward flow
of the Mighty Mississippi
and the Minnesota Snow

Well I was born by these banks in summer
and now as evening takes it turn
string my guitar
and watch the river
get out my slide
and talk my rhymes

sun is shining
and it glistens
on the ever southward flow
of the Mighty Mississippi
and the Minnesota Snow

Minnesota Snow

(they just told me a week or so ago they've remixed this for their fall album release. I hit a couple klinkers with the slide and they erased em! Peace )
