Bio

Born on Australia Day, Adi Burgess grew up in rural Tasmania in the hills of the Huon Valley. At an early age she began to show a great talent for music and some early influences she found in the work of Jim Reeves and Patsy Cline. Adrienne's earliest performances were at local church and town functions around the age of 6. Her life since then has been just filled with with music including during the '80s, when she led the local high school rock band and sang on weekends at a theatre restaurant in Hobart.

While working as a Jillaroo at Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory, Adi entered her first Country Music Talent Quest which lead to a string of Major Festival Competition wins. These put her on many Country Music stages including Starmaker in Tamworth, Norfolk Island as an Australian representative, and she gained entry into the College of Country Music. Adi was also sponsored by Toyota Australia, Fourex and Channel 10 on a tour in outback Queensland. Her powerful voice has been described as distinctly strong and soulful.

As her presence within the industry became better known. Adi supported Warren Zevon on his North Queensland tour, she sang and acted in local theatre and was thrilled to work with Bjarne Ohlin one of the original Divinyls . Bjarne continued to be a strong influence, after all, her first school performance was of the Divinyls song Boys in Town so she was delighted years later, to be able to work in his studio recording songs and jingles.

After a move to South East Queensland Adi could be found singing at local pubs, clubs and private functions in and around the south east corner of the state and is currently a backing vocalist in the Blue Heeler Band for Luella Widt.

Michael Flanders and Rob Mackay of Pacific International Music heard Adi singing in Tamworth in 2011 and were so impressed that they offered to help kick off a long overdue album with a writing session in Nashville. The Debut single 'Guilty' from the forthcoming album 'Thats What love will Get Ya' due for release in November, is currently receiving airplay both nationally and Internationally.
