Tusko Fatale - 'The Ghost of a Hurricane'

09-09-2017

Video Produced and Edited by David L. Orr 2011
Words and Music Composed by David L. Orr 2011

'The Ghost of a Hurricane'

The ghost of a hurricane is coming down my lane
He's kicking up the dirt and lifting up a lady's skirt
He's mischievous but polite
He is dead but full of life
He's the ghost of a hurricane

The mother of the shaking earth is giving birth
She is shaking us to the ground
She is getting down
She's temperamental though full of grace
She is in your face
She's the mother of the shaking earth

While here I sit and smoke on the sands of dreams
While here I sit and wait in the in-between
On the sands of dreams
In the in-between

The child of a tidal wave is making its way
Across the parking lot in a puddle by the shop
Unnoticed so young of age
So small, small but full of rage
It is the child of a tidal wave

Tusko Fatale - 'Arr... Ain't No Brouhaha

Video Produced and Edited by David L. Orr 2011
Words and Music Composed by David L. Orr 2011

'Arr... Ain't No Brouhaha'

Under the light, in a corner, sits a man who is gray and old
He's been drinking for some time now
Taking in all he can hold

Arr... ain't no brouhaha
Arr... ain't no brouhaha

Cigarette burns down to the fingers
Feel no fire, feel no pain
Nothing turned out like he imagined
It doesn't surprise him
Just more of the same

Arr... ain't no brouhaha
Arr... ain't no brouhaha

Tusko Fatale - 'It's a Pity'

09-09-2017

Video Produced and Edited by David L. Orr 2008
Words and Music Composed by David L. Orr 2008

David Orr of Tusko Fatale performs his song 'It's a Pity'

It's a Pity I'm so Petty It's a Pity I'm a Fool, but if we be lover's then sometimes we're cruel It's a Pity I'm so Petty It's a Pity I'm a Fool, but if there be winners then others must lose
If there be angels, there be demons too
Everything you do will come back three fold in the end
Revealed the witch to me as she cackled and grinned
If that be the case then I must be one doomed man
Because I'm an asshole, because I'm demanding and on top of that I'm crude
I'm insensitive I'm selfish I'm one deadbeat dude
But you are so honest, you are so caring, so impeccable, so pure
Understanding and patient, stable and mature
If everything I do will come back three fold in the end
Then hand me that noose my very good friend

Chelsey Danfield - 'Cowboy'

09-09-2017

Hope you are well. Heres a music video I edited for LA producer Stacy Heydon. You may remember him for his work with such rock icons as David Bowie and Iggy Pop. Chelsey Danfield is an alternative country artist from Canada. Her song Cowboy deals with the issues of growing old and dying with grace and dignity. Chelsey wanted to use three generations of her familys home movies in the making of this video. I undertook this daunting task because I loved the song so much and found it incredibly touching. I can really relate to this subject matter because for the last six months I have been my mothers primary caregiver after she suffered a couple of strokes and been diagnosed with dementia. Cowboy is a beautifully written song and is performed by this incredible lineup of talented musicians.
*Chelsey Danfield on vocals and guitar
*Russ Pahl on electric guitar/dobro/steel & slide (credits include recording with such artists as Josh Turner, Lady Antebellum, Robyn Hitchcock and Toby Keith)
*Dennis Crouch on upright bass (Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris)
*Greg Morrow on drums (Reba McEntire, Joe Bonamassa, Kenny Chesney and Cyndi Lauper)
*Tim Crouch on fiddle/mandolin and acoustic guitar (Sheryl Crow, Tom Paxton and Alan Jackson)
*Stacy Heydon on guitar (David Bowie and Iggy Pop)
*Music Produced by Stacy Heydon for AMG Records

The Menstruating Angel and the Snoring Hummingbird

17-08-2014

The Menstruating Angel and the Snoring Hummingbird

The menstruating angel and the snoring hummingbird
take turns advancing on the City of the Word

Its always over the horizon

Its never ever where you stand

Its always over the horizon

Its never ever in your hand

The menstruating angel and the snoring hummingbird
sit side by side theyre both waiting on the word
Its a word so rarely spoken No one knows how it should sound

Its a word so rarely spoken

A word locked deep within the ground

She said, Talk to me. You silly little sleepy bird.
The situations gravity must not bring us down.
He said, Oh my Dear! You beautiful bleeding angel Just sing to me
when I need a

when I need a

when I need a song

The menstruating angel by the shady carousel

Where the sun so rarely visits
the shadys sit there for a spell
Its a Spell so rarely spoken

No one knows the consequence

Its a Spell so rarely spoken

No one knows the consequence

She said, Talk to me. You silly little sleepy bird. The situations gravity must not bring us down. He said, Oh my Dear! You beautiful bleeding angel Just sing to me
when I need a

when I need a

when I need a song

The menstruating angel and the snoring hummingbird She asked, Do you curry favor or favor curry as the herb? For a spell so rarely spoken

No one knows how it should sound

Its a spell so rarely spoken

A spell locked deep within the ground
